Having grown up in sunny Southern California, I know what skin damage is.  I remember many long days of laying on the warm sand while watching the sun go from one side of the sky to the other.  I remember the competition between friends to see who could get the darkest.  Sunscreen was not in vogue, tanning oil was.  Basically, now in my forties I'm paying my penance.
